1)   María: Hey Poe, is there a hospital nearby?

Poe: Yes, about 10 minutes away.

María: My friend is sick, should we go there?        

Poe: Yes, let's go.

(Arrive at the hospital)

María: Is my friend okay?

Poe: Yes, she's feeling better. Need further assistance?

María: No, thank you for your help.

Poe: Anytime.

2)  

 Kate: Hi Poe, do you know if there are any restaurants near here?

Poe: Yes, there are several restaurants a few minutes away, are you looking for something in particular?

Sara: Yes, I'm looking for a restaurant that serves vegetarian food, do you know of any places like that?

 

Poe: Yes, there is a vegetarian restaurant a few blocks from here. Would you like directions there?

Kate: Yes, please.

(Poe gives Kate directions to the restaurant)

Kate: Have you eaten at that restaurant before?

Poe: Yes, I've eaten there several times. The food is very good and there are lots of vegetarian options.

Kate: Great, thanks for your help. Do you think I need to make a reservation?

Poe: That might be a good idea, especially if you go during rush hour. Do you want me to help you make a reservation?

Kate: Yes, please.

(Poe helps Sara make the reservation.)

Kate: Thank you for your help, Poe. That's very kind of you.

Poe: No problem, enjoy your meal.

3)  Mark: Is there a mailbox nearby?

Poe: Yes, on the corner of this street.

Mark: Thanks. Is it still working?

Poe: Yes, it is.

Mark: Great. Are there any other mailboxes nearby?

Poe: Yes, another one a few blocks down the road.

Mark: Thanks, Poe. You're a lifesaver.

Poe: No problem.

 Lucas: Hi Poe, do you know if there is a pay phone near here?

Poe: Yes, there's one a few blocks from here, do you need to make an urgent call?

Lucas: Yes, I need to call my brother to come and pick me up. Can you direct me there? 

Poe: Sure, follow me.

(Poe leads Lucas to the pay phone.)

Lucas: Have you used this phone before?

Poe: Yes, I've used it several times. It works fine.

Lucas: Do you think I need coins to make the call?

Poe: No, this phone accepts credit cards and there is also a collect call option.

Lucas: Okay, thanks for the information.

Poe: Do you need help making the call?

Lucas: No, thank you. I think I can do it myself.

Poe: Okay. If you need anything else, let me know.

Lucas: Thank you, Poe. That's very kind of you.

Poe: No problem, I hope you can contact your brother soon.

Ana: Hi Poe, do you know if there is a bus station near here?

Poe: Yes, there is a station about a 10 minute walk from here.

Ana: Great, can you tell me how to get there?

Poe: Sure, follow me.

(Poe takes Ana to the bus station)

Ana: Do you know if there is a bus that goes to Mexico City?

Poe: Yes, there is one that leaves in about 30 minutes, do you need to buy a ticket?

Ana: Yes, please, do you think there are still seats available?

Poe: I'm not sure, but we can ask at the ticket office.

(Ana buys her ticket at the ticket office)

Ana: How long does the trip to Mexico City take?

Poe: Normally, the trip takes about 4 hours.

Ana: Okay, thanks for the information, do you know if there is any place to buy food at the station?

Poe: Yes, there is a small store on the corner that sells fast food and drinks.

Ana: Perfect, thanks for everything, Poe.

Poe: No problem, hope you have a good trip.
