USED TO
Use :
We use the modal verb “used to” to indicate something that happened or happened in the past on a regular basis. Also, it is used for something that used to be true but is no longer true. As with the other modal verbs, "used to" is followed by the base form of the verb (the infinitive without "to").
Structure of used to :
Affirmative Form : Sujeto + “used to” + verbo… Example : We used to go to the beach every Christmas.
Negative form : Sujeto + “didn’t” + “use to” + verbo…
Example : I didn’t use to eat so healthy when I was younge
Interrogative Form : Did / didn’t + sujeto + “use to” + verbo…?
Example : Did you use to come to New York in the summer?
Important : You should know that you can also use the modal verb would to talk about events or actions that were common in the past. But keep in mind that it can only be used with actions, not with states or habits, that is, you should not use would with verbs like be, have (have) or live (live) to refer to the past, with these verbs you should use used to. Nor can "would" be used in the negative form.
Example : When I was a kid, my parents would take me to a big park near home.
